The movie was fantastic:)
At least one time, people think about their death. We are afraid of passing away, for we don't know when, how we would die. We usually consider the death as a tragedy. We think that death means there is no more life ; end of the life. Ironically people don't believe that someday they would die, they believe their death will happen in the very far future. We try to turn our face away from the determined fate, so we don't try to think about our death seriously. However the death should not have that meaning in our life. Morries's last lesson was not about being the social sucess, it was about being a human. To love ourselves and the others, and to enjoy our life gladly. These are what everyone knows, but it is hard to practice actually. He really want people to know and practice that, for he didn't know that when he was healthy. It was not until in the face of his death that he realized how much the life and death meant to him. "When you learn how to die, you learn how to live." It sounded strange at first time. Because we always think life and death separately, but through the conversation of Morries and mitch I could understand the meaning. Death is not the end of the life, it's the part of the life and the conclusion of the life. Everyone would be die, it's obvious fact and anyone escape from it. The important thing is not what we die but how to live before we die. When we accept our death, we could know the valuableness of the life, and we live the day as if it is the last day. Since I have been busy with daily affair, I always think about myself selfishly to achieve something. Maybe I have missed the most important things and essential worth so far. This movie makes me think that I really have lived the way I want to and look back my precious loving persons.
I want to introduce a poem. It is very famous in Korea. When I read the "Tuesdays with Morries" in our class, it came across my mind :)
Back to Heaven
Sangpyong Chon
I'll go back to heaven again.
Hand in hand with the dew
that melts at a touch of the dawning day,
I'll go back to heaven again.
With the dusk, together, just we two,
at a sign from a cloud after playing on the slopes
I'll go back to heaven again.
At the end of my outing to this beautiful world
I'll go back and say. It was beautiful ......

My topic
My topic of research project is about the environmental issue
; Destruction of the Amazon:)
First of all I want you guys to know about the Amazon
The Amazon is the world's largest Rainforest. The Amazon Rainforest (Brazilian Portuguese: Floresta Amazônica or Amazônia; Spanish: Selva Amazónica or Amazonía) is a moist broadleaf forest in the Amazon Basin of South America. The area, also known as Amazonia or the Amazon Basin, encompasses seven million square kilometers (1.2 billion acres), though the forest itself occupies some 5.5 million square kilometers, located within nine nations: Brazil (with 60 percent of the rainforest), Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana. States or departments in four nations bear the name Amazonas after it. The Amazon represents over half of the planet's remaining rainforests and comprises the largest and most species-rich tract of tropical rainforest in the world.

STEVEN JOBS' SPEECH
About 2 years ago, I saw some video by chance which was Steven Jobs' presentation. He launched his brand new product, ipod nano, and that presentation was very impressive. I thought he knew how to attract audience's attention. His Stanford commencement speech was in the same way as his presentation. Although he didn't say too much, his simple stories were enough to move the audience's heart, and his speech made people think seriously how to live their life.
All of the three stories were very good, especially I like the first story. Sometimes I am afraid what I chose is really right choice, but as he said, if it was what I really want and love, it would be right for sure. Even though it seemed to be wrong so far, it may not be wrong in the future. Because I am connecting the dots, and no one knows the last one.
I had never thought about going foreign country to practice English till this September. When I fail to enter the big company for internship in August which is what I really want to go after graduation, I was so discouraged. It was a very big problem to me, for I left only one semester before I graduate university.
Suddenly I decided to go to Canada not only for studying English but also refreshing myself. Now, I satisfy in Canada. If I enter the company, I couldn't have a chance to stay out of my country for a long time. Moreover I expect that these experiences will be an another opportunity in my life :)
